
Descendance have performed internationally and across Australia in Movies, Documentaries, Theatre, Television, Radio, Community Work, Cultural Centres, International Festivals, Recording Projects, Tourism Ventures, Corporate Sector, Educational Institutions, Jails, Cruise Liners, and Political Events.
Descendance participated in many major world events, including the Sydney Olympics in 2000, the opening ceremony of the Rugby Union World Cup in 2003, the Soccer World Cup in Germany 2006, the United Nations Indigenous forum in New York City in 2006, and the International indigenous Forum in Pau (France) 2006.
Since the year 2000, Descendance have performed in many major international conventions and corporate events held in Australia and around the world, performing for politicians and international dignitaries in the fields of medicine, technology, science, education, humanities, the arts and other diverse practices.
Descendance in unison with Austrade, Tourism Australia, Australia Council and DFAT promoted “Australia Weeks” in the USA (LA & San Francisco) 2005-2006, Russia (Moscow) 2005, New Zealand 2006-2008, Croatia 2008, Serbia 2008, Hungry 2005-2006, and Canada (Toronto, Vancouver) 2007-2008. Descendance was a featured act at Nicole Kidman’s and Mel Gibson’s Hollywood Tribute at G’Day LA in 2005; they also launched the Baz Lurhman film “Australia” in Italy (2009).
Descendance were the central theme for the Discovery channels “Atlas Australia” the widest ranging film or documentary release ever to come out of Australia, reaching 170 countries and narrated by Russell Crowe.
Descendance has developed international audiences for the indigenous arts touring to over forty countries and over one hundred cities, reaching millions through vast International TV and Media exposure.
